The Switchboard Does Not Need the Line
Brazil lost 12.9 per cent of its fixed lines in a year, to the lowest count since 1998. Cloud switchboard seats rose 2.5 times over the forecast. The two facts are compatible: the trunk stopped being copper, and the market's growth is coming from firms that were never in the fixed-line base at all.
